I did specify that subset of womankind that appeals to me.

I'm not at all sure that a majority of womankind, chosen by a perverse genie, would include any that I find attractive.

How about "I wish I had the ability to make any woman desire me sexually (in a way strong enough that if I ask them if they would like to engage in intercourse they will always say yes) at will without generating notice or remark by any institution or person. Furthermore the use of this ability must not change the targeted women in any way other than their thoughts and desires towards me.

I think this is definitely the way to go, but to keep it in line with the original wish, the start should read:

"I wish that every person would feel the same level of sexual attraction for me that I feel for them and any time..." etc.

Given that and the inclusion of "appropriate and desirable" means that if you really want to have sex with a specific person, that's the person you'll meet. That bit could no doubt be worded better though.

Boy am I ever late to the party! At the time I discovered HOTS, not only was the strip over, but Ferret was off at the Clarion workshop so I couldn't even bug him about it!

Well, having devoted well more thought to this topic than is at all healthy, my plan for this (not being precisely worded as of yet, just the basic idea) avoids most of the ethical complications neatly: I would wish for a *copy* of the person I'm interested in, not the actual person. After all, if you want *romance* or a real connection to the person, you really shouldn't be involving a genie; if all you want is sex, a soulless clone hardwired to do anything you ask it to (and nothing you ask it not to) ought to be as good as an actual person, and is in no way being inconvenienced as an actual person would be. Ideally you'd also have the ability to make and unmake these clones at a whim - sleep with a different supermodel every night, but never have them around on the off chance you ever work up the courage to ask out a real girl! (Let's not kid ourselves, guys, the women don't have much need for a wish like this.)

My housemate Lee summed it up better than anything I've ever heard:

Trust me, women need this wish too, perhaps just phrased and fulfilled in a somewhat different way.
