Princess Fluttershine, Continued (3)

SCENE:
Tom and Branch are roleplaying. The first shot should set up that Branch and Tom are doing this via AIM or email, and then we can switch back to the game world if you want.

Duke Ash, if you show him, is the stereotypical example of what a thirteen-year-old girl’s idea boyfriend should look like – Disney gone mad.

TOM (as The Duke): Fluttershine, I am glad we met.

BRANCH (as Fluttershine): So am I, my dear Duke Ash.

BRANCH (perhaps we switch into the game world here): In my time here in Evildeadia, you have taught me much.

BRANCH: You’ve taught me how to make friends. You have taught me how to fight.

BRANCH (sidling up, really over-seductively in a TOTALLY CREEPY way, to Duke Ash, who does not react in this panel because there is no time): And now it is time you taught me how to be a woman.

(CUT TO: Tom. He is shell-shocked. He presses a button on his keyboard and the words appear at the top of the screen in a computer font.)

BOX: DUKE_ASH has logged out of AIM.

(NOTE: Research this to find out the exact wording when someone logs off off AIM or Trillian.)

(He stumbles down the hallway, still shocked. And in the final panel, he has walked into Karla’s room, who is doing something Karla-like. She looks up at him with concern; he is totally shell-shocked, in disbelief, wondering what the fuck happened.)

TOM: Houston, we have a problem.

Ferrett Says

We’ve been sprucing up the ol’ site bit by bit, and today is the day we’ve added stuff to both the Extras page and two new questions to The FAQ. If you wanna see some cool fan art and find out what kind of drink a “Tanners and the Ladies Faire” is, head on over and check it out. (And heck, if you have some questions about the strip that you think are frequent enough to be answered, feel free to ask in the forums. We’re open.)

And speaking of fan art, Roni and I will be taking a short break in about two months, at the end of Year One. We have a big storyline finished to round off January, and then we’ll be resting on our laurels for a bit. We’ve been going back and forth on the idea of guest strips, since we’re not sure if we have the kind of audience yet to attract one… But if you think you’d be interested in getting what little PR we can offer, get in touch with us. We’ll talk.

Oh yeah. Today’s strip? Raise your hand if you didn’t see this coming.

Roni Says:

Props to Gini, who is not a plant, for first recognizing our special guest star. Maybe I will someday do a list of all my previously missed cameos.

Also, I just finished watching Alias Season 5 on DVD and have an overwhelming urge to kick J.J. Abrams in the junk, repeatedly.
